A Visual Dialogue (VD_04) between Justin Fox and Errol Richardson from the 1st--april ---- 10th--april
Errol's 15yrs old. I have seen his attempts to start mental. A site which was splattered with dynamic graphics which showed alot of energy and I know Errol over icq too. He's always calling me "yo bitch" and sending me videos of himself doing stupid things.
So I thought I'd mock his immaturity a little and have a colouring in book Visual Dialogue where we would find some black and white line art images and colour them in. The copyright free images came from a book called "Transport Pictures".
The results? We both couldn't stay within the lines! Punchy, fruity and.. well.... colourful!
"I had fun with this VD. Errol was getting on my nerves every now and then with his lack of dedication and seriousness. I hate my 1st one, the composition of the aeroplane just wasn't flexible enough. 2nd, The little boy is so happy in his dreamy magical flight machine. I had a play with type on the 3rd. Wanting to create that retro rusty scoot feel and the 4th I let the imagery do the talking, differences in era, transport, style and fashion. Errol's Fly High image is great, great composition and really reminds me of his mental work. His scooter image is awesome. Reminds me of Chinese label graphics on canned vegetables, saturated and fun." Justin Fox

"It was nothing less than an honour to do this Visual Dialogue with Mr.
Justin Fox. He is a great influence on my design, even though he is a bit of
a condescending wanker. :) I as well, am not happy at all with the first
piece. The aeroplane took up too much space. I like my second one the most.
Simplicity is best, I suppose, and I couldn't resist using Kab from
typo5.com. The third piece was ok, not my usual style though. For number
four I think I over-blended it, but that lady on her bicycle was my favorite
of the four outline things. Out of Justin's four pieces, I like the 3rd most
of all. I liked his use of type, and is that green stuff waterpaint? I
dunno, but it's cool. Justin's 3rd was my favourite, but his 2nd and 4th
pieces weren't far behind. As for his first one...." Errol Richardson.
