Thanks for the reply Adrian. I have held out long enough, but I think I have no choice but to dive into the abyss with a subscription. Prices are now $57.99/month vs 79.99/month!
If one signs up on an individual, can they switch to a Business one later?
Or I guess, stop the individual sub and start up a new Business one?
Also, are there any discount codes around for these subscriptions, I guess Adobe have us by the nuts and there is No other alternatives right?

I freelanced and worked full-time. Mostly contract/freelance for 11 years in London.
Back then you had to go before you turned 28 to be eligible for the Working Holiday visa. But sounds like they have extended it to 30.
Main thing is to have a your portfolio in order, showing your best work. And that your mac/software/design skills are up to date. Then contact some of the design recruitment agencies. Like Aquent. Or the more specialist ones like Gabriele Skelton.
All the best.

As someone working in the industry @Jact you need to be aware of what regulations/legislation apply, and discussion of prices within an industry forum/body/channel is very much something frowned on by the ACCC and other relevant bodies.
Best way to avoid any potential issue is to always provide help on how to work out your own prices via different methods that each person may have. And as they say, better to teach someone to fish than simply hand them a fish. ;)
