I said it was strikingly similar to another designer, could be coincidence. Just thought it was weird that it was deleted. The designer i've posted was an emerging designer so i dont think it was too bad giving her some recognition as well. Im a big fan of her work. I certainly hope it wasn't the case of elitism, the little guys need a leg up as well. Cheers for the reply aistrope.

I've posted on the Dominique Falla thread and checked this morning that my comment was deleted. I'm wondering why it was? Don't think I've posted anything offensive? It was a fair post. Considering that hardly anything here gets deleted, just wondering why there was a need to censor what I've written. Did I break the rules here? I've found a designer who has done something similar to her before she did. How is that 'delete' worthy? I thought it was a good find.

Thanks so much for the advice everybody, the first few weeks was hard to settle in - socially, but I guess that's expected. I've spoken to my boss before the holiday break and he thought i was doing great. Everyday seems to get easier - but my gosh! First couple of weeks was hellish. Hate being so shy!! lol. Once again, thanks everyone!

I've just started working at a design studio and its only been a couple of weeks (I'm still on a trial period). So far, I feel incredibly shy when it comes to socialising because I feel that since I'm on a trial period, I must stay studious and productive rather than being a social butterfly around the office. Its very quite at times and perhaps I'm just an awkward person to talk to generally? I do my work and I complete the tasks that has been given so far.
But what are your thoughts if you were the employer? What are you looking for in a junior designer? What are you expectations? Sorry, if the post is a bit long, just want to learn as much as I can.
