Yep that is a good resource. Also she has some vids around such as this:
That vid is not really a quickie to watch but good to get the background as to why this workflow works for her.

I've just officially moved to wireframe, style tiles and iterative development in the browser. So far so good. It's a nice workflow that seems to suit what I naturally tend to do. It feels far more collaborative as clients become more involved in the process (as opposed to having everything locked down after a design sign-off and I just come back to them with a near finished site). We get to explore options a bit more together and there are more project 'breakpoints' (for want of a better word), so it also feels like the projects are moving forward quicker albeit in smaller stages.

Genius. Still haven't figured out why Terminal isn't recognising my awesome cd commands but...
When you copy a theme and import a database from a site that already exists, make sure you check the Media setting ... mine was set to the old live server path.

Just wondering if there is anyone around who could walk me through a local dev permissions issue or, alternatively point me to something that shows this.
If I set up local Wordpress site in MAMP from scratch no worries.
If I copy a site down and import the DB etc it's all good but I can't upload media due to the old "can't create directory" permissions issue.
If it were remote / live server I'd just chmod to fix it but this is local and I'm at a loss.
There are sooo many tutorials out there to set up locally but they all stop once you get Wordpress working and then don't carry on to test file uploads.
Tried get info and sort permissions on the folder but that does not work.
Tried Terminal to chmod locally but I'm a noob at that and can't even get into the right directory ... won't accept the MAMP directory as existing (?).
Any help appreciated! I've been doing half local / half live dev to overcome this and I really want to get the workflow ... well... working! I'm sure it's going to be something simple :)

thanks for the link Damian.
@gammagirl - i completely understand and know i have to drop it. looked into it, not much i can really do.
they made it first, it is a completely shit thing, but I've gotta let it go, and maybe put a twist on it, place the ads in my book and have a laugh at them plagiarising it.
thanks all for the comments.
