Inspiration! Where do you get yours?
Posted 25.01.2012 @ 4.41PM
I guess going for a walk in the early hours of the morning works for quite a few people. I also get inspiration through music, autobiographies, good conversations with other people.
Though, another thing that drives me are family photos. Am I not the only one on here who feels like they aren't trying or working to their potential every time you walk out of the house with a bunch of family portraits on the mantlepiece on the way out?
It's just like how the Bupa Health Insurance 'Find a Healthier You' television commercial pops up when you are watching tv. Apologies in advance if reminding you of this commercial has killed your day.

I don't want to be a graphic designer anymore / Burning out
Posted 25.01.2012 @ 4.18PM
Noftus might sound harsh, but I do agree with what he has to say. I graduated last year and was grateful for a company I did a mandatory internship for, offer me employment. I actually took it for granted when I found out graduates from my year were still looking for design work.
I believe quite a few design students/graduates go into the field with high expectations that are not met. We even had an intern who quit at the end of his first day because he expected to get paid and felt it was too far to travel to work. Might I add this intern lived approx. 15km away from the office?
Back on topic. A good office environment and co-workers help a lot with burnout. Wish we had a ping-pong table though.

Why is everyone all of a sudden moving from MSN to Skype?
Posted 31.01.2012 @ 11.36AM
Haven't used MSN for years. I remember the countless hours wasted chatting to high school mates after school. Looking back, MSN seemed to have the 'high school goss' tag attached to it.
Migrating to different chat messengers wasn't as bad as moving to new social networks. Ringo>Friendster>Myspace>Bebo>Facebook>Twitter>OpenCemetery>Etc. :/
