Looks great! I love the design. Like the modular layout.
Only comment would be that the forum looks a bit broken up. Might be nice if there wasn't spacing between the threads.

It's an interesting point.
I'm feeling a bit cynical after reading this article about Apple and how they avoid taxes - http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/29/business/apples-tax-strategy-aims-at-low-tax-states-and-nations.html?_r=1
At the end of the day you have to accept that companies are going to maximize profit any way possible. It'll be interesting to see how the ACCC enquiry plays out.

Why is Adobe's CS6 more expensive for Australia than the US?
http://desktopmag.com.au/news/adobes-cs6-pricing-explanation/
“Our pricing methodology takes into consideration the costs of doing business in different regions and customer research that assesses the value of the product in the local market. Conditions vary between markets and it’s difficult to make a straight comparison between countries.
Adobe has been listening to feedback from the Australian market through various channels including conversation on social media forums; and customer and media feedback. In launching Creative Cloud, we have worked hard to reduce the price difference between the US and other markets. With the introduction of Creative Cloud Membership and reduction of subscription pricing, Adobe creative products have become significantly more affordable to our customers. For example, annual subscribers paid A$199/month for a subscription to Master Collection CS5.5, and now pay only A$62.99/month for CCM. That’s a reduction of 68%. CCM includes access to all of the products in Master Collection, plus more. In other words, Adobe is delivering more value at a much lower price.”
They did dodge the question a bit, but it does seem that they've narrowed the gap slightly. I'm sure their investors are happy for Adobe to keep prices higher overseas. That said I don't think their pricing and subscription format is the greatest injustice of all time.

I guess for those working in web and print design the need to constantly update probably isn't a priority.
Most of my work is video and animation so the updates to after effects and premiere are pretty handy.
Seems a lot of it comes down to price and peoples perceived value of the products. To me it seems like a good deal.
A bit unrelated but this year Autodesk reduced the price of it's all-round compositing program Smoke from $15,000 to $4000, despite there being no changes to the program. They're just trying to bring it into the mainstream. Is it a good deal? Again comes down to individual perception.

How affordable is graphic design in Australia?

@peteshand I find it interesting that you have said they avoid small businesses. I have had great experiences working with small businesses.
I believe that all businesses deserve good design, even if they have a limited budget. The trick is to really listen to their needs and understand where they are coming from. If they have called/emailed you/your company they did so (most likely) because they like your work.
I recently read a good piece about bargain logo sites here:

P.S
It makes sense that spammers would target a thread – and forum in general – like this. Rich relevant content, updating constantly, very search engine friendly. Doesn't make it less annoying though.
