Freelance Illustrator. Bit of a designer. Like doing my own creative thinking. Best stuff is for childrens' books and brands. Do editorial stuff too. Do ad's. Make paper graffiti and put it around the world. Makes people smirk.
Never serious in life. Gets me in trouble. Never serious with illustration. Seems to work to my advantage. Try to snap people out of living like a zombie. Make them pay attention and get involved with products, concepts, feelings.
Think quick. Draw pretty quick. Finish whole projects quick enough. They aren't finished unless perfect. Do digital. Do print. Do hand drawn. Do vector. Do original. Do collaborate. Do work on my lonesome. Don't work without podcasts playing. Work out of The Hallway offices. Work out of home. Happy to work out of your place. Love being in Sydney. Love getting paid to do what I love surrounded by the people I love.
In support of the tagline for Honda - "The Power of Dreams" they worked with the Guardian to produce articles with dreams as a focus. I was commissioned to put together three illustrations for the three articles. I needed to tie them together with a similar style but still provide a visual aid to each separate article. The brief was quite free and I was allowed to take it as surreal as I liked. I wanted to represent the difference between just dreaming and putting those dreams into practice.
