30s - 50s mono or duotone illustration reference

Anyone know of a decent reference or two for advertising / logo illustration work from the pre 60s? A bit non specific there, but kind of like this stuff, but better -

Websites, book titles, welcome. I've looked at the Taschen "All American Ads" series, but they're more full colour and photos. Any suggestions appreciated :)

I've a few books about 40's-50's ad and logo illustration somewhere. I'll try and find what they're called.

Chip Wass also does some really nice retro based stuff but I think that's a bit more 60's.
