This is a great idea, very motivating.
Are you participating in this yourself?
Posted 04.02.2013 @ 12.54PM
Yes, I'm taking part. Just sketches and studies from me though, nothing as epic as those guys.

Not too late to join in @Aldous, only 3 drawings to catch up on ;)

Amazing! I love the idea of the imaginary beings. Why is it that you draw with blue and red? I'm assuming the blue is a sketch layer that you scan...?
Could you bring your sketches into this thread, and I'll try and participate (along with other AIFers, hopefully) from here?
The skillset and energy over there is incredible.

That's a nice idea. The more the merrier :)
I mainly use my tablet these days so these are all digital. Process goes something like this:
Messy blue sketch down first because non-repro blue doesn't show up in photocopies and old habits die hard.
A clean and tidy red sketch goes down over the top once I'm happy with my lines.
Then black ink over the top. The different colours stop me from getting too confused with what's going on.
Here's a little process gif thingy as an example. This is what I've been working on last night and this morning...

Great work in that thread, I wish my sketches and studies were as refined as yours!

Nice shoulder/lat/rib detail Stuffee!
Wouldn't mind doing a drawing a day challenge — sounds like fun.
I'll give it a whirl and post something up

Nice, @Jomapi! Anyone else wanna join in?

Great, @Jomapi.
Here's day one for me:

It's for work so I'm not sure if it really counts.

I totally forgot to post about this earlier...
Anyway, over at Satellite Soda forum, there's a drawing challenge that happens every February. One new drawing every day for the whole month. Got some inspiring stuff going on.
