Just wondering if anyone with experience can tell me what most people with large volumes of data do to store it on a permanent basis?
Lets say I'm a video guy and I have 8TB of footage, do I just have it on hard drives stacked in my cupboard?
Is there a better solution? online etc, backed up?
just wondering what most people do/use in this scenario.
they use tape - something like -
I have a 1TB pocket hard drive. Although I do have a desktop one which I use for back up
hahaha GBH, I just realised your display pic was of Rudy from the Mighty Boosh!
Tape, still really?
No in house racks of sservers with much hard drives?
No high volume/low cost cloud options?
