Just went live with a site: http://www.risemma.com.au but for some reason there are a few icons not showing up (all from the same folder).
Never seen this before. I checked the file types, checked for caps in the file extension and checked permissions but they still go missing.
Any ideas on what it would be?
Nice strong site! Where are the icons located on the page? Are they supposed to be in the news section?
Thanks @Cheli!! The icons (on desktop) are only the Facebook and favicon icons but the news feed doesn't load images either. On mobile there's a menu icon too.
It's strange because I tested it on the same server and now it's using a new URL it doesn't work!!
Haven't looked at all, but I looked in your icon folder and there doesn't appear to be a Facebook.png which was throwing a 404 in the console. Are the files definitely all on the right server?
I just punched risemma.com.au/icons into my address bar and realised it's not my folder!! (There's supposed to be 4 files in there...)
Thanks @Pscysm - at least I know what the problem is now
I was pulling my hair out (not that it needs help) recently because I'd dragged files onto my dev server instead of my test server, your description of the issue triggered a similar feeling.
Looking good on my end now. I hate that feeling of not being able to work it out, yet knowing its usually a simple mistake on my behalf hiding somewhere...!
Thanks @Cheli. It is the worst feeling!! I still don't know what's going on with that mystery 'icons' folder is (I just moved the files to a different folder). Oh well - it works.
But the blog feed images was my own silly mistake. Thanks for pointing it out!!
