Typography could do with a bit of work. Kerning between the E and G is way off. Version one for my money.

Looks like a mark for a paving business.

Yeh, I don't see what the icon has to do with the inspection/safety industry.
It seems a bit unbalanced. The icon is really heavy. The light grey may not print as it is that light.
Do you have a rationale for the icon? what it is or represents?

Just on the graphic, it appears unstable and unsafe - it looks like a Jenga game in progress. The shapes are precariously stacked and on angles and the colour throws off the balance - it looks like it could collapse any moment.
Assuming you've designed it, i'd recommend moving away from the Jenga look and experimenting with some more stable, rigid, perhaps symmetrical designs so that it reflects safety a bit more.

Doesn't aegis mean shield? Lot of nice strong visuals you could go with using a shield : )

Good colour palette and clean lines. Once the kerning is tweaked it should be fine.

Hi,
Here is a logo for a Home Inspection/Building Safety Inspection Company. Could you please let me know what you think of it.
