Designed and painted as a wedding gift to celebrate the marage couple of teachers.
"Love Is A Verb" was taken from Massive Attack's Teardrop and the piece was painted by a group of the grooms best friends at the site of Rock City in Nottingham.
Projectors are used a lot as they speed things up no end.
I didn't work on that project but due to the scale and location a projector couldn't be used.
On top of that, the scaff was covered in safety netting so they couldn't even stand back from it.
It was all broken down into a grid and it wasn't until the netting and the scaff was removed that it could be seen from more that 4ft away in its entirety.
Every job has it's challenges and it's like re-inventing the wheel every time.
Spray painting walls is painfully addictive! Street artists using a projector is a faux pas - there's all these weird unspoken rules in graffiti that you should be able to do everything with your hand alone. Strange, but that's always the way it's been.
I've been sick all week, so I've been trying to be a bit more productive. Managed to knock this guy out in 4 hours from sketch to finished art , with distractions every 15 minutes or so. I might have ADD.
