I've been having troubles with Skype, which I used to regularly use for outgoing calls so that I could record the call (I'm a motoring writer and I record the comments of manufacturers for later transcription into articles). Annoyingly, most of my calls seem to be struggling lately - the person on the other end can't hear anything most of the time.
I haven't been able to find a solution to the problem. I don't *think* it's my system (Intel 2.8 quadcore bla bla, Win7), particularly because my microphone and sound work fine when I'm streaming video through livestream.com (I occasionally screencast my illustration projects).
SO, I'm looking for an alternative. I'm happy to either use a handset that can record calls and make the most of my iinet-provided VOIP number, or an online service using my computer and my existing headset - again, so long as I can record calls. Recording is the very most important part of all this.
