Your first glance proved absolutely correct.
Is it worth using? Depends. I like to drag stuff that inspires me onto my computer and put it into a folder, but other people want to show it to the world.
I suspect being <ahem> creatives we can exercise a similar urge by displaying our own creations rather than creating a virtual scrapbook in the vain hope someone else looks at it and *sees the colour of our souls*.
I am probably just being cynical and negative. It won't be the last time.

Personally I prefer

and
http://juggalobook.com/

I will give it a try and understand it.
The layout of mantersting.com does look nice and clean and I like that.
As for juggalobook.com, first thing that comes to mind is Facebook, have they just copied Facebook's sign up page haha

@aistrope lol
@Romes no offence meant by this, but as a website designer/developer how can you have only just heard of Pinterest?!

No offence taken but it's true it's the first time I have heard about it, I just found out whilst being on LinkedIn.
Are you are user of Pinterest?

Its not that bad once you get passed the scrap-booking http://pinterest.com/agitated/i-d-hit-it/

I prefer http://ffffound.com

I just stick to Tumblr + ffffound for a random influx of good/bad/ugly imagery.
I briefly got into pintrest but really didn't enjoy it. When I encountered was a lot of dream boards with mostly of fashion which isn't really my forte.

pinterest has really blown up in the last few weeks. It's been around for a while though, i saw it mostly as a big pinboard for soon to be brides and scrapbookers - however i am neither of those and i still love it. I think now more guys are joining it, it could change somewhat....
you could view it as another tool to promote your artwork, i've only recently wondered about that and just started uploading some personal work, but other than that i just love looking at the pretty pictures.

What is Pinterest?
Posted 08.03.2012 @ 2.45PM
Hi guys,
As there are many social sites, I have recently stumbled on to a site called pinterest.
Apparently it's the next big thing, but going on to it I am confused what it actually is.
From a 1st glance it looks like a giant pin board for images.
Does anyone know what this site is for and is it worth using?
