Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Door bells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into Springs
These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad.

Seeing friends after a long absence.

going to the pub for a couple of quiet ones after a productive days work.
seeing a great band play like they want to be there (The Dirty Three last night!)
getting to sleep in on a Sunday rather than having to do some admin (the joy of freelancing)
dinner on the couch with the missus while watching crappy TV.
sometimes staying at the pub and having a few noisy ones after the quiet ones have finished.

I have just finished work for the day and it has been a productive day, so I am happy that I had achieved a lot today and also that I get to go home now and that puts a smile on my face :)
