Project Manager
Tonto Digital is a new web design and development firm that is a combination of two previous well established firms.
We build great looking websites and turn them into a online businesses with the aim of delivering on the needs of the business and the needs of the target audience.
We are looking to hire an experienced project manager who would prefer to work on a contract basis from their own location. Our preference is for a Melbourne resident but will consider all locations. You can choose your own hours however you must be available for communication with management and clients during business hours.
The role will require you to project management the design and development of websites from start to finish. You will be in direct contact with the client giving them updates of where the development is up to, answering their questions, making requests for content and providing assistance in managing the site at completion.
Simultaneously you will be managing a small team of designers and developers dispersed around the country and overseas. This will include writing a detailed brief, delegating roles, setting milestones and ensuring all work is completed on-time and on-budget.
You will be working closely with the Technical Director and Art Director and you will require:
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
• Great communication skills - written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Experience with project management tools (eg, basecamp)
• An understanding of Web design and usability
• Experience with online business operations including the management of ecommerce stores, statistics, workflow and order fulfilment
• Experience with Content Management Systems such as Goodbarry, Wordpress, Joomla etc.
• A solid understanding of digital marketing including SEO, Email Marketing, Affiliate Marketing and Social Media.
• A love for systems and a desire to always look to improving on the way things are done.
This is a non-technical role however a strong understanding of web technologies and languages is required to successfully manage the development team.
