If you’re a product designer, technologist, engineer, creative, entrepreneur, UTS students, person with a disability or a disability professional, The Cerebral Palsy Alliance wants to hear from you!
In partnership with UTS, they are holding Australia’s first Enabled by Design-athon at UTS on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 July 2014.
This two day ideas and prototyping fest aims to inspire Australia’s mainstream design and technology community to embrace universal design – ‘design for all’ – including people with a disability.
This fun and fast-paced events starts with a series of Lightning Talks from industry practitioners and innovators. You’ll also join a team to design and prototype new products and technologies that are more accessible, attractive and easier for everyone to use. Each team will have a challenge based on a different type of disability, to gain first-hand experience of how great design can change lives.
The event is free of charge but places are limited. Please apply online at www.enabledbydesignathon.org.au
The event is proudly sponsored by the Department of Family and Community Services.
