RVCA presents FULL SERVE, a series of new works by ANP artist DMOTE in conjunction with contributing Artists Will Lynes and Nathan Pickering. After the success of the opening reception in Melbourne the show will now be moved to the RVCA Corner Gallery on Thursday 27th March 2014.
DMOTE is a new york-based artist hailing from Sydney, Australia. Spearheading the Australian graffiti scene since the early nineties, DMOTE has accomplished a phenomenal plethora of work, and now, transcending into a fine arts focused phase of his career, is bridging the gap between his roots in street, painting and a culture sensitive approach to commercial work.
Will Lynes, a Sydney-based decorative artist and designer, who specialises in traditional hand- painted sign writing, murals and a variety of decorative painted finishes. After working for over 10 years domestically and overseas developing his techniques and experience, Will started his own company, Lynes & Co. in Sydney where he works on commercial signage works of all scales.
Nathan Pickering grew up in Sydney. Heavily involved in graffiti culture as a youth, Nathanalso developed skills in the basics of sign writing. Now over a decade later, he hasn’t looked back. His personal painting work draws inspiration from brightly coloured 80s signage, old motels and suburban coastal towns. Nathan now works alongside good friend and colleague Will, at Lynes & Co.
Date: Thursday 27th March
Time: 6pm - 9pm
Address: 84 Oxford St, Paddington, 2021
