Design, Print

Fabulous design duo and allround letterpress gurus, The Hungry Workshop, deliver again with a project that is sure to put a smile on any Aussie's face - 'Start With Vegemite'.

From their site: "It’s the way Australians start the day – and it’s the way we started this project for one of Australia’s most treasured brands. Working with JWT we designed these cards and then letterpressed them on our Heidelberg Windmill, but instead of ink, we used 100% Vegemite.

Vegemite is an assault on the senses. It’s rich and distinct smell, flavour and colour are what make the product so unique. The job was printed on Wild 450gsm in four passes, one with a light, buttery density of Vegemite to form the background colour, the second pass was much thicker, which we used for the typography on the front and back. Then a final pass for forme cutting the iconic Vegemite ‘lozenge’ shape."
