Mark Gowing

I make no secret I have a few favorite Australian designers. I probably even have a top 5... but that is probably taking things too far. If there were such a thing, Mark Gowing is in my top 5 without a doubt. I know, fan boy right...

The first time I experienced Marks work first hand was for the suburban theatre company (in the suburb I grew up in, Belrose represent!) Glen Street Theatre. Since then I am constantly blown away by Marks work for the likes of Hopscotch Films, 2SER, The Weather Channel and more recently his hand in motion works, EyeSaw and numerious cultural posters.

Congratulations to Spencer Harrison who took home two awards at Agideas this year. Spencer won both the Fabrica award & Newstar competition with his motion piece 'Do Stink'.
